Four series, twenty prints
The shop holds Great Roads, Race Day, the Cafe Racer ink series and the Machine studies, five prints in each. No print carries a manufacturer's badge, a team livery or a rider, so none of them asks you to know which make of bike they ride. The eight shown on this page are where we would start a Christmas list. For a guide organised by who you are buying for, go to motorbike gifts by recipient.
For the rider planning next year's trips
- Hardknott Pass. Slate green and low cloud over the pass, one rider on the climb and no guardrail.
- North Coast 500. A cliff road through sea haze on Scotland's far edge.
- Applecross Pass. A lone rider cresting the Bealach na Ba at dawn, the hairpins stacked below and the sea loch behind.
- Snake Pass. Autumn larches turning the A57 into a copper corridor, one headlamp in the long shadow.
A road they have ridden will mean more to them than one they have only read about. The Great Roads page has all five, including the Cat and Fiddle.
For the one who follows racing
Coast Road Grand Prix is an invented 1962 seaside road race in art-deco poster style, with leaning machines and bunting in the wind. Paddock Morning is the quiet one: mechanics round a bare racing machine before the start. Every race in the series is made up, which is why no team, rider or circuit appears. Racing posters covers the other three.
Stocking size
Every one of the twenty also comes as an 11oz mug and a 500ml bottle. Kickstand and Coffee, a cafe racer at rest with steam rising from a cup on the seat, and Two Up, a couple on a classic twin in plain contour lines, are the two on this page from the Cafe Racer ink series.
Sizes and finishes
Posters run from A4 to 70x100 cm. Framed posters come at A3 or A2 in black or natural wood. Canvas runs from 30x40 to 60x80 cm, framed canvas from 30x40 to 50x70 cm in black, dark wood or natural wood, metal from 30x40 to 50x70 cm, and wood at 30x40 or 40x50 cm. The shop prints are not sold as digital downloads. The size and framing guide shows how each size sits on a wall.
Their own bike instead
If you can find a photograph of the bike without asking for one, print it as it is or try a style in the Paint Shop. Use a photo you took or have permission to use, and allow time to choose a preview before the order goes in. The bike photo guide helps you pick a usable shot.
Ordering for Christmas
Nothing is printed until you order. Production takes 2 to 4 working days and delivery another 2 to 5, so allow up to 9 working days, leaving weekends and bank holidays out of the count. An order placed on a Monday can take until the Friday of the following week. We deliver to UK addresses only, and the full terms are on delivery and returns. If the count has already gone wrong, read last-minute motorbike gifts.
