Riders are hard to buy for, and it isn't because they're fussy. It's because the useful things are personal to the machine, the safety kit has to be fitted to the person, and everything else has already been bought twice. These pages start from the recipient, not from a shelf: who they are, what they ride, and how much notice you've got. Where a page can't stand apart from the main guide, it says so and sends you there.
Three things to know before you buy
First, what they ride, or what they would ride if they could. A road they love points to the Great Roads posters; a bike they built points to the Machine studies, or to a print made from a photo of it. Second, where it will hang. Every artwork comes as a poster from A4 to 70 × 100 cm, as a framed print at A3 or A2, or on canvas from 30 × 40 cm to 60 × 80 cm, so measure the wall or ask someone who lives with it. Third, how much time you have. Everything is printed when you order it, so check the delivery estimate before you pay if the gift is for a set day.
If it is not right
Returns work differently for the two kinds of print. An artwork from the shop can be sent back unused within 14 days of delivery if you change your mind, and you pay the postage back. A print made from your own photo cannot be returned for a change of mind, because it was made for one person. If anything arrives damaged, that is a different matter, and the delivery and returns page explains what happens next.
