I'm Craig Fearn, and I run Throttlefolio. It's a small studio making motorcycle art for people who think a wall without a motorcycle on it is unfinished. I write the guides on this site too, so the byline on each one is me.
What we make
The catalogue runs across four series: Great Roads, travel posters for the UK rides that earn the petrol, like Applecross, Hardknott, the Cat and Fiddle, the NC500 and Snake Pass; the Cafe Racer ink drawings; Race Day, vintage racing posters for races that never quite happened; and The Machine, blueprint studies of the five shapes every rider argues about: cafe racer, scrambler, bobber, adventure and classic single.
And because the best subject is the bike in your own garage, The Paint Shop turns a photo of your machine into artwork in one of eight styles. You see a free preview first, and the picture you approve is the one we print. Or we'll print your photo exactly as it is, once we've checked it is sharp enough for the size.
How it's made
Everything is made to order, so nothing sits in a warehouse. Our print partner makes it and posts it. It usually takes 2 to 4 working days to make and 2 to 5 to arrive, and delivery to UK addresses is in the price.
What we won't do
Real liveries, marque logos, rider likenesses and race branding stay out of it, and a piece that breaks that rule comes off sale. On The Paint Shop we say plainly that the styles are AI-regenerated from your photo, so you know before you pay.
If something goes wrong
If a print arrives damaged, we'll reprint it or refund you. Shop artworks have a 14-day change-of-mind window. A print made from your own photo can't be returned, because it was made for you. The delivery and returns page has the detail.
