Questions, answered

What paper and materials do you use? +

Posters print on 200 gsm matte fine-art paper with pigment inks — flat, deep blacks, no gloss glare off your tank. Framed prints sit in solid wood frames, black or oak, behind a plexiglass front. Canvas is a poly-cotton blend stretched over an FSC-certified wood frame.

A3, A2 or 50×70 — which size should I pick? +

A3 (£34) suits a hallway, office or garage wall you stand close to. A2 (£44) is the safe choice over a desk or sofa — big enough to read across a room. 50×70 (£49) is the full statement piece. All prices include UK VAT and tracked delivery. Browse the lot in posters.

Framed or canvas? +

Framed (A3 from £69 black, £72 oak; A2 £85) arrives ready to hang, paper behind plexiglass — the gallery look. Canvas (30×40 £59, 50×70 £79) is softer and frameless, and suits the painterly Paint Shop styles especially well. Ink drawings and blueprints tend to look sharpest framed.

How does The Paint Shop work? +

Upload a photo of your bike, pick one of eight styles — from Garage Oil to Speed Sketch — and our engine repaints it. The preview is free (three a day) and carries a watermark. When you order, the artwork is re-rendered at full 4K gallery resolution — no watermark — and printed.

Will my printed Paint Shop artwork look like the preview? +

Yes — the final render uses the same style instructions as your preview, at much higher resolution. Small details may differ slightly because the artwork is regenerated, but the style and composition match the preview.

Is the art original? Do you sell branded-livery posters? +

All twenty catalogue artworks are original — no, we don't sell branded-livery posters. We never reproduce real liveries, marque logos, rider likenesses or race branding. Our Race Day posters celebrate fictional races, and our blueprints study the shape of the machine, not any manufacturer's drawings.

Why is a size blocked when I upload my photo? +

We measure your photo's pixels against each print size before you pay. Below 150 dpi a print looks soft, so we don't sell it. A 12-megapixel phone photo comfortably covers A3 and usually A2 — our guide to photographing your bike helps you get a shot worth printing.

How long does UK delivery take? +

Each print is made to order in the UK: production takes 2–4 working days, then tracked delivery 2–5 working days. Most orders arrive within a week of ordering.

Can I return a print? +

If your order arrives damaged or wrong, we reprint or refund — photos within 30 days to hello@throttlefolio.com. Because every print (especially custom ones) is made just for you, we can't accept change-of-mind returns on personalised items, in line with UK consumer law.

Can I gift a print? +

Happily — prints make a sound gift for the rider who has every tool already. See our gift picks, or gift a Paint Shop print of their own bike if you can sneak a decent photo of it.
