A road through copper conifers, drawn in flat autumn colour
Autumn is the star of this one. Tall conifers in copper, rust, gold and cream line both sides of the road, and loose needles drift through the air. The road curves away into the trees under a teal sky with a few white clouds, a crash barrier running along its left side. A motorbike stands on the road with no rider drawn on it, its long shadow falling across the tarmac and a pool of pale light on the road ahead.
The road is the A57, and here the trees close in so it feels like a corridor. Snake Pass is a warm, cosy picture. It suits someone who loves autumn rides, or who knows this road well. It looks right with wooden floors and warm lamps, in a lounge, a den or a bedroom.
The tall print shows the most sky. The wider mock-ups keep the trees and the bend and trim the bottom, so the bike sits right at the lower edge and part of it is lost on the poster and the metal print. The framed poster and the mug keep the whole bike. Pair it with Cat and Fiddle for a run of warm colours.
